Properties

PAALi possesses several advantageous properties that make it suitable for use as a binder in battery applications:

  • Adhesion. PAALi has excellent bonding properties and can provide good adhesion between electrode materials and between electrode materials and electrode substrates.
  • Polysulfide adsorption. PAALi binder can effectively adsorb polysulfides, which is crucial to improve the performance of lithium-sulfur batteries. The adsorption of polysulfides can enhance the battery's cycling performance and rate performance.
  • Electronic and Li+ conductivity. PAALi binder has good electronic and Li+ conductivity, which helps to improve the energy conversion efficiency and battery life of lithium-sulfur batteries.

  • Cost-effectiveness. Compared with traditional polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) binder, PAALi binder is inexpensive to make, which suggests that it has great development prospects in lithium-sulfur batteries.

Application Note

  • Adjust the consistency of slurry by adding water to avoid the edge folding phenomenon of slurry.
  • When the dispersion reaches the required fineness, filter, remove the bubble and discharge the material.
